By now you may have heard that I have taken on the role of Chair of the Institute of School Business Leadership. For the next 12 months, I will be steering the work of the board and working to build on the reputation ISBL enjoys with our partners, stakeholders and the wider sector.
I am humbled by the trust and faith shown by my fellow board members and, through them, by the wider profession.
Thank you; I will endeavour to serve the Institute and our practitioners to the best of my ability.
This is an amazing time to be a school business partner and the Institute will continue to work hard to set the standard and support practitioners to reach it.
I am daunted by the work ahead but I am emboldened by the calibre of professionals working to support schools and to grow the profession.
From those doing the day to work in your schools and academy trusts, to the individuals and teams steering local SBM groups, the Institute wants to engage with you. From the thousands of practitioners working their way through their qualifications to those who are training them, the Institute wants to help and support you.
It’s a good time to be in the profession and, as the ISBL Chair, I look forward to meeting many of you at our annual conference and at other events around the county.
