Train to teach with us in Britain’s second city

My school, Bordesley Green Girls’ School and Sixth Form works with the Bishop Challoner Teaching School Alliance (BCTSA) alongside a further 50 primary and secondary schools. Its a great place to start your teaching career and our alliance has a long and successful record of initial teacher training.

We are pleased to be working with BCTSA and 2 fantastic local Universities as we continue in this recruitment round for trainee teachers in Birmingham and beyond.

The schools in the alliance are committed to offering excellent CPD, support and training as you embark on your career. My school runs an annual education conference which is open to trainees from across the alliance.

Our staff enjoy plenty of opportunities to get involved in nationally recognised initiatives right from the start of their careers and then have further chances to develop their practice and undertake outreach and partnership working as the gain confidence.

We have School Direct PGCE places for a September 2017 start in many secondary subjects as well as in Primary (General) and Primary (PE Specialism).

Don’t just take my word for it: this YouTube video will let you hear directly from some of the trainees wo are already training within our alliance:

Pop along to Bishop Challoner for a coffee and find out more about our alliance’s teacher training route.
